Mayor Pam Triolo, along with being a beloved city leader, she's also wife to husband Michael Clahane for almost 20 years, Mom to furry child Buster, daughter to part time Lake Worth resident/Dad Vic Triolo, sister and aunt to family in NY and Los Angeles and boss to her employees of downtown Lake Worth Advertising and Marketing firm. Triolo, a Bachelor of Fine Arts Major from Emerson College in Boston and graduate of The Connecticut School of Broadcasting, Wellesley, MA, has spent a good part of her life in the broadcast industry, first in Worcester MA, then here in South Florida. You have either heard her voice or seen her on TV over the last few decades, from Sunny 104.3 mornings to popular and long running TV Food show, What’s For Dinner? and now, as creator and host of The Food Lady on WFLX FOX29! Pam launched her own award winning creative services company, First Impressions Creative Services, Inc. in 1997, which caters mainly to travel and tourism, food and dining, legal, retail, medical, home improvement and political clientele. In addition First Impressions has provided Public Relations services for numerous non-profit agencies.
In November of 2011, Pam was elected as Mayor of the City of Lake Worth, FL, becoming the third Female Mayor in the city's hundred years. She's spent the last 5 1/2 years focusing on eliminating the disincentives in Lake Worth. From day one, Pam's goal has been to bring Lake Worth's electric rates down to FPL's level. By initiating and with support from her then majority commissioners, she was able to get a Rate Parity Law passed that forced the city to be at or below FPL rates for residential consumers over a five year period and nearly halved commercial rates and created incentive programs for new businesses that could lower rates below FPL levels. With the passing of the 2018 budget, this January, the city will have achieved that goal!
Pam has helped to create the city's first ever infrastructure Master Plan that coordinates ALL road, water, sewer, electric and utility projects so Lake Worth can "Do it once and do it right!" which also saves taxpayers money and alleviates delays and inconveniences. Infrastructure is improving as our Roadway Master Plan, which is underway, takes form and transforms our neighborhoods, we will finally be able to drink that pure RO water thanks to new water distribution pipes, and electricity distribution improves through new upgrades as well. Sea level rise is also being taken into consideration for the first time in all of our infrastructure based decision making processes.
Thanks to Mayor Pam we are also becoming a leader in renewable energy as a new solar field now graces our old capped landfill, our city's lighting and operations have been transformed through energy saving measures, including our street lighting, that is not only state of the art LED, but dark sky compliant and features the 2700 kelvin amber hue that is not only energy efficient but helps PBSO spot criminals more clearly and aids in safety measure for our Citizens. Before Pam was first elected, the city was trying to assess homeowners for new street lighting. By introducing performance based financing, the city not only DIDN'T have to assess homeowners, they paid for the lighting through the energy savings that will be achieved. And in exciting news, The Department of Energy, Florida Atlantic University and The City of Lake Worth are now partners in projects that may enable us to harness the power of the Gulfstream for clean energy creation right off our beach. All these new innovations not only help subsidize our grid but will help us to create clean, affordable, renewable energy that will not burden our residents, taxpayers and future generations.
Pam's additional accomplishments include revamping code enforcement, creating new policies for replacing windows, doors, roofing, fencing etc. previously held up by historical hurdles, improving customer service and employee morale, utilizing the arts as an economic driver, creating economic development rates and programs to help lower taxes and reduce the tax burden on our residents and business owners, all while protecting our small town charm. Our beautiful, beach Casino draws crowds from near and far, the Park of Commerce is closer to reality, neighborhoods that have been denied basic infrastructure such as streets, sidewalks and fire hydrants are finally being addressed, and she has even improved relations between our city and other municipalities, the county and the state. Investment in Lake Worth is at an all time high (Double digit increases almost every year since she's been in office) as new residents and commercial entities make Lake Worth their permanent home
Pam has a compassion for ALL of the people of Lake Worth, finds purpose in focusing on solutions to the problems that have plagued our city for decades and has achieved positive results in almost every task she’s been handed. Lake Worth needs to keep moving forward and Mayor Triolo is the one who can do it!
